Duties:
Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering, dressing and undressing, washing, bathing, grooming, cleaning teeth, hair care, toileting and all aspects of personal hygiene.
Assisting the patients to take prescribed medication.
Observe physical well-being and report any significant changes in patient’s well-being to the registered general nurses.
Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Attend to sick patients and perform such task as may be required e.g. serving meals on a tray and feeding as required
Monitoring patients, performing basic health checks and document and sign all care interventions provided.
Damp dusting and bed-making.
Clearing refuse and rubbish.
Ensure that patients feel comfortable and safe
Act as a role model giving guidance and support to other staff and students.
