Work & Experience
Assists in execution of strategic plans developed by IT Leadership to support business plans or create new strategic options. Working with a team of engineers to manage network deployments and working with a machine readable definition of the network deployment. Contribute to testing and validation of network devices, firmware, and configurations as well as defining and implementing test cases with existing automation tools.
• Deploying network hardware and cabling. • Working closely with Network Engineering, Technical Program Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects. • Troubleshooting network and cabling infrastructure issues. • Migrating networks in live environments. • Implement changes at approved time windows following change management procedures.
• Effectively communicate with third parties such as partners and customers regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries, both orally and in writing. • Work within strict SLA’s to provide our customers with a timely resolution. • Ensure the customer is kept informed of the progress of the fault and the system is kept updated regularly • Be the first point of escalation for customer generated calls • Log faults and service requests on our Remedy system, carry out initial diagnostics and look to resolve all faults and requests. • Proactively monitor our systems and networks via our internal monitoring system, investigating, troubleshooting, resolving and escalating issues. • Providing incident management and technical resolution of 1st line network related faults and prompt escalation to 2nd line when required. • Maintaining and updating the ticket management system throughout the incident lifecycle. • Be prepared to go On-call duty and shift as part of a rota, to support the smooth running of our 24/7 network. Responding to incidents and supporting the field and systems engineering team in network maintenance and repair. • Ensuring the timely documentation of all fixes and changes to the Network. • Owning and managing tickets for Problems, Incidents, Changes and others for managed customers and non-managed devices.
